My History
Ruth Ann Smalley, Ph.D.I love the discovery process, and creating experiences that cultivate it. Whether the subject is literature or subtle energy, there's a wealth of insight and power to be gained when we are alight with new knowledge. My academic background as a literature professor, with nearly 30 years in the classroom, has grounded me in the appreciation of the power of story. Energy Medicine has shown me that we can craft positive personal stories far beyond what most of us imagine. We are all authors.

Eden Energy Method
Eden Energy Method draws on the work of respected teacher and healer, Donna Eden, as well as traditions such as Ayurvedic and Chinese Medicine. It offers an assessment system and simple wellness practices for working with foundational energies such as the chakras, the aura, and the meridians. Consisting of methods that move and balance energy, they include holding or tapping acupressure points, tracing meridians, clearing chakras, stretching, and other exercises.
Energy Medicine does not diagnose or treat disease, and is not intended to replace or interfere with the services of a medical doctor. The practices described on this site have not yet been made the subject of extensive scientific study; the results attributed to them are therefore considered anecdotal. Many people do find that the techniques are fun and effective for restoring energetic balance, inviting relaxation, resetting problematic stress response patterns, and replenishing energy. |
Biofield Tuning
Biofield Tuning, as pioneered by Eileen Day McKusick, uses the sound of tuning forks to locate and clear "noise" in our personal electromagnetic field. Along the timeline of our lives, trauma, stressful events, injuries and other life circumstances create lasting disturbances in our energy field. The coherent sound waves carried by the tuning forks can be a great way to identify important personal themes, while clearing away non-beneficial patterns stored in the biofield.
Biofield Tuning is an energy medicine, and as such, does not diagnose or treat disease, nor does it replace or interfere with the services of a medical doctor. |
